HARTING Han-Modular® Series

HARTING Han-Modular® Connectors

In brief:

Robust metal-shelled rectangular connectors with lever locking mechanism.

The HARTING Han-Modular® series uses the standard metal Han® shells but with individual modular inserts rather than solid multiway versions.

Frames are slotted into the standard connector hoods and housings allowing a vast range of unique configurations to be achieved with HARTING’s fantastic range of modular inserts which include Power, Signal, Ethernet, Coax and Pneumatic.

The HARTING Han-Modular® connector series comprises inserts designed to meet the specific needs of individual customers. The modular inserts enable simple assembly of custom-designed complete connectors and, because they have been created with the help of potential users, are able to meet the many and varied requirements of different designers.

HaARTING Han-Modular® connectors are a logical development of the Han-Com® series, which already offers the combination of power and signal circuits in one connector. The individual modules of this series now allow the integration of various signal and power connections into one connector assembly, including:

  • Electrical
  • Optical
  • Gaseous

Standard metal Han shells are used in this series, but, rather than including solid multiway versions, have individual modular inserts. The metal-shelled rectangular connectors are robust and feature a lever locking system.

Unique configuration options include:

  • Pneumatic
  • Ethernet
  • Power
  • Signal
  • Coax

The pneumatic contacts are also suitable for the connection of liquid media, but it must not be forgotten that, according to VDE regulations, a combination of electrical and liquid connections in one connector is not permitted.

The individual contacts used in this system are all from established ranges and, depending on the size of housings and hoods selected, combinations of one to 12 modules can be used.

The basic modules are able to snap into a mounting frame and can be exchanged separately at any time.

There are various advantages to this series, including:

  • Easy-to-assemble custom designs
  • Optimum solutions can be achieved
  • Stock can be minimised
