Eaton has introduced its next generation UTSX, UTGX and UTOX connectors designed to offer enhanced performance, simplified integration and unmatched durability.
As industries continue to demand more robust, flexible and future ready connectivity solutions, Eaton’s Trim Trio circular connector platform stands out as a proven and evolving benchmark. It builds on decades of field-proven reliability gained with the legacy Trim Trio series (including Souriau UTS, UTG and UTO) which have long been trusted across sectors from robotics to smart agriculture.
The original Trim Trio series earned its reputation through reliability, modularity and ease of use. The new Souriau UTSX, UTGX and UTOX connectors retain full backward compatibility (same contacts, same tooling) while introducing improved sealing, corrosion resistance and mechanical robustness.
All new models are IP68/69K rated, UV resistant and compliant with UL/IEC standards. Whether in marine, off-road or water treatment applications, these connectors are engineered to perform in demanding conditions. With up to 500 mating cycles and 500 hours of salt spray resistance, the new series extends operational life, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
Thanks to their intermateable and interchangeable design, upgrading from a full plastic UTSX to a hybrid plastic/metal UTGX or a full metal UTOX is straightforward, ensuring a seamless transition for existing customers and integrators. The new series are also interchangeable with the older UTS, UTG and UTO series.
From robotics and instrumentation to lighting and FTTH/FTTA, the Trim Trio platform supports a wide range of industries. The new series continues this tradition with quick
locking mechanisms and click confirmation for secure, intuitive connections. The platform approach allows for easy expansion. With shell sizes 10, 12, and 14 already available, and sizes 16/18 scheduled for release through 2026, Trim Trio is engineered to support growth.
