The robust M23 Fast Ethernet PoE from Hummel is a circular connector system ideal for use in the harshest of environments. The M23 Profinet circular screw locking connector provides an industrial system with the capacity to transfer the very highest data rates, with signal and high reliability ensured through inserts within heavy-duty waterproof shells.

The hybrid plug can take up to 5 separated shield voltages, guaranteeing safe data transfer right up to the gigabit range without any crosstalk. Technically HF matched to the corresponding cables, the connectors have an impedance of 100 Ohm and help to prevent excessive attenuation and any disturbing reflections.

Maximum power density in the M23 enclosure is achieved thanks to the employment of 12 additional contacts for the transfer of further signals or power, while four completely shielded Twinax inserts are available for the data cables.

Besides straight and angled cable connectors, there are also equipment connectors for rear and front mounting with crimp or PCB solder terminatoin. Various complementary products are also available for the range, including:

  • I/O modules, which can feed in or tap off signals
  • Adapters for various plug-in systems
  • Mounting flanges
  • Protective sleeve connectors

The M23 Profinet connector can be used in a wide variety of environments and for many purposes, including:

  • Robotics
  • Automation technology
  • Image processing
  • Rail transport technology

This connector system can be used in any location where signals have to be rapidly and securely transmitted despite tough environmental conditions, vibrations or mechanical exposure.
