HUMMEL VariaPro FKM chemical-resistant cable glands are constructed with a nickel-plated brass housing and FKM (fluorine rubber) seals. This range is able to withstand chemicals and acids with an IP rating of 68 up to 10 bar. These glands are also capable of working under extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 180°C.
The range has been uniquely designed for use in applications where encountering harsh chemicals and acids is inevitable. These glands have been designed to withstand these chemicals and keep performing as expected. Examples of where these glands may be used include the chemical and pharmaceutical industries or in the energy sector.
The design of this range has massive advantages over regular types of glands. These Hummel Glands being made of Nickel-Plated Brass helps to harden the surface which prevents tearing in the gland which in turn reduces the chance of any liquid or dust entering. The seals of the gland are made of fluorine rubber which enables the gland to have a higher resistance to heat, oil and other chemicals which it may encounter.
