The ix Industrial® from HARTING is a miniature alternative to the RJ45.
Due to its excellent design and unrivalled performance it has quickly become an industry standard and a reliable interface for device manufacturers.
Until recently, the epitome for an Ethernet interface in an IP20 environment was the RJ45 connector.
The RJ45 connector is the most widely used in the world however many users have a love-hate relationship with it because of its weak latching levers and occasional contact difficulties.
As devices become smaller, the size of the RJ45 limits the miniaturisation potential and developers have been searching for a smaller and stronger connector and one that can cater for Cat. 6a performance for 1/10 Gbit/s Ethernet at the control level.
