binder M12 A-Coded Food & Beverage Series

binder M12 connector programme is specially designed to fulfil the requirements of the food & beverage industry. All products are both IP69K and Ecolab (ECL) tested.

In addition, 1.4404 stainless steel and special plastics is used to ensure corrosion resistance, making these products ideally suited for packaging, processing and filling facilities for foods & beverage.

The range comprises of a variety of straight and angled male and female field wireables, panel receptacles with pre-terminated wires and moulded cable connectors with heads made from cream-coloured RAL 9001 polypropylene plastic.

The connectors are available in 3, 4, 5, 8 & 12-pole versions in accordance with DIN EN 61076-2-101 and DIN EN 61076-2-104 respectively. Maximum current is 4A at 250V.

As well as the food & beverage sector, these M12 circular connectors are suitable for use in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries and in other types of industrial food processing, including milk and cheese dairies, abattoirs, bottling plants and food storage. These are all areas where stringent hygiene requirements have to be met for machinery, systems and components.

binder have designed these M12 connectors using premium materials including stainless steel and special plastics with highly smooth contours to prevent dirt adhesion. Because high pressure cleaning with aggressive chemicals is widely used throughout these food and beverage sectors, these M12 connectors provide protection to IP68 and IP69K.

These versions look different from standard M12 connectors while the light-coloured surface means dirt and residue are easy to spot. In addition to the existing tests and the UL certification that is under preparation, the connectors have been subjected to the Ecolab test seal that confirms the material’s resistance to detergents and disinfectant.
