Souriau have introduced 2 new platings for Industrial (Trim Trio) size 16 stamped and formed crimp contacts.

The reason for the modification is a response to the rise in the cost of gold. The objective of the new plating is to keep the price of these contacts as sensible as possible by offering the two new options that have selected plating that derives from existing platings and with equivalent performances.

The 2 new selective platings are S18 and S31.

S18 plating is equivalent to the current S6.

S31 is equivalent to the current D70.

At the moment contacts with the S6 or D70 plating remain available but the new S18 and S31 will be introduced slowly.

The current contact part numbers with the equivalent new plating part numbers with drawings showing the plating on the contact areas are available on request.
