Until recently the Field-attachable connectors of Binder’s most popular series, M12, had only catered for finer wires up to a maximum cross section of 0.75mm² and with a cable outlet at the rear of the connector accepting up to 8mm.
The series has now been given a boost and now has even further scope, allowing a wire cross section of up to 1.50mm² and a cable OD up to 10mm.
With such changes the performance of the system has greatly increased and the 4 & 5 pole variants can accept up to 8A per pin, whereas previously this was limited to 4A.
In line with the additions to the cable connectors, the panel receptacle to suit has also been given a lift. The PG9 front mount/rear fastened version with wires now has the option of 18AWG cores whereas previously this had a maximum of 24AWG.
The above modifications to the M12 series also arrive at the same time as the update to the sub-miniature IP67 snap-in series (620) which now has the option of colour coded shells much like its slightly larger counterpart the miniature IP67 snap-in series (720).
With the new Binder catalogue due approximately Autumn 2012 we will hopefully see even more great additions soon.
